My Greatest Achievement

       Now I have many life achievements but there is one specific one when this idea was brought up, last year I was in 5th grade, in 5th grade I tried out for the musical and I basically got a lead role. Now it wasn’t really a main role but I was in a LOT of parts and I had about 3 or 4 lines, I was in the musical Fiddler on The Roof and I was the youngest daughter I felt so happy while on stage, while I’m on stage I have so much fun I feel so happy as I act and sing my heart out. I love singing and acting so getting a lead role in the musical was a HUGE achievement and even though it wasn’t a big big role it was really fun, I also got to bond a lot with my friends and my (fake) family. Getting a lead role in the play was a great achievement and I had a lot of fun during that time frame and I really hope that I will be able to get a lead role again in the play as I got one last year, musicals/plays are so fun and I hope they have them this year as well. . . Well that was my greatest achievement I hope you liked it :) !

WWII Nonfiction Reader Response

    I am a Star  by Inge Auerbacher is about a young, Jewish girl and her struggle to survive the Holocaust. To begin, Inge talks about the how the discrimination began in her town of Kippenheim when, “Some people began to say that Jews belonged to a different race and that Jews were racially inferior” (10). From this belief, many thing changes for the Jews including who could buy from them, deprivation of their German citizenship, where they could go, and what occupations they could have. Christians were forbidden to associate with the Jews, while some had no problem with this, others disobeyed and left food and saved important items for after the war. Inge then describes her experience as a child at the camp, “We slept on the floor or, if lucky, on straw-filled mattresses... The rooms were smelly and steamy in summer and freezing in winter... What I am Thankful for

       There are SO many thing that I have been blessed with in life and I could not be happier, sometimes I wish I had more but there are people that have less, I am really picky with the food I eat and I try to always remind myself there are people in other places that are actually  starving. I can’t believe how blessed I have been and I cant thank my friends and family enough, I have been blessed with many MANY friends and LOTS! Of family. I have a lot of cousins and aunts and uncles, I have also been blessed with a roof over my head and a meal on the table every night, to think that some people are homeless and they don’t get any food, it makes me sad.
