My accomplishments

I have a few accomplishments for this year, my math MAP test was something that I am really proud of, I grew in 15 points and I didn’t even think I would grow 5. Another accomplishment is that I read 28 books so far this year, technically I read four “real” books (books you could hold) but I read on a website called Webtoons and every thirty chapters from a webtoon counts as a book, the webtoons get updated once every week so it takes a while but if there are books that have already been started then you can read it all at once. My year was pretty good and even though there were a lot of problems and drama I had fun.

Two poems I wrote

Rain The razored rain ruffles down rebuffing rocks Ramming into ripoff rubble, thunder rumbled Recycled raunchy rubbish roughly revoked the rain Robbers run rampant for revenge Rifles riveting rapidly The rain deceased randomly  After raggedy rain, rainbows reappear                        My favorite food                                                                                                            My favorite food always eats grass                                          It eats and eats and milk comes out of it                                  Then it has children and I wait for them to be killed                                         When they  die their guts wiggle around                                     But I picture it as a burger all safe and sound                               My tummy starts a rumblin’ and I look down at my feet               I hear the fire roaring as it’s alm

Positives of the Week!

A few days ago we did math MAP, I was really nervous because all the questions I was getting were really hard and I didn’t know the answer to any of them.  I didn’t finish in the two hours that we were given and I had to finish it in math, I was on the last question and I was really scared. I answered the last question and then I looked at my score, I was so happy. My heart soared at the sight of going up 15 points, I was at 250 and I was literally drawing smiley faces all over my work sheet. My week has been really good since that day and now I can only hope that the rest of my tests go as good as my math one.

Last MAP Testing of the Year!!!

This is the last MAP test of the year and I am a little scared about the test. I have been working hard to get ready for the test, I have gone to working lunch with my math teachers and I have pacticed a lot of Kahn and I think I am ready but I am not sure. My math MAP went down one the second test by one and the recommended score I should be at was 245 which was about 10 more than my score was before. I’m not sure if I will be able to get to 245 but I am really excited to see how well I do in the next test, I’m not really sure how well I will do in my other tests because I have only been working hard on my math but I think I am best at math so I have been working hard to improve. MAP is a hard and long process that we have to do every year but I know I will do my best until the very end and even though I don’t like MAP we are almost ready to perform the musical.

78th Post!

Today our teacher asked us how it felt to have our 50th blog and I was like “ummmmm” she said she knew some people already have more than 50 so she told us to talk about how we feel for the blog we were on now. I am really happy with how much I have written in ELA, I never thought that I would be writing blogs in 6th grade and I feel really accomplished after writing so many. I wrote a slice of life every day of March and after doing that I knew that I wanted to get to a hundred blogs before the end of the year. We only have 23 days left so I have to work hard but I know if I really try I can do it!

Play Rehearsal

This years school musical is “The Sound Of Music” and it is almost time to perform for people who haven’t seen the show yet. Next week we have tech week where we work really hard and we get to perform the whole show through and eat dinner. I am really excited but rehearsals are not that fun right now,  our rehearsal teacher placed me in the goat heard song and the goat heard is made up of 4th and 5th grades. It is too hectic and we haven’t finished blocking yet. Most rehearsals I hang out with friends and it can be really fun but yesterday we were rehearsing the goat heard song and we were on the stage for almost 30 minutes and 20 out of the 30 minutes we weren’t doing anything so it was really boring. A lot of rehearsals end up like that and we don’t do much practicing, I am a nun and about three out of five rehearsals per week we actually work. I still think that it is going to turn out okay and we are going to have fun but for now I am a little hesitant after our rehearsals.
