MAP testing

   MAP testing, it’s a pain, and everyone hates it, even me! MAP testing happens three to four times a year and it takes a long time to finish, unless you are guessing the whole time, I love learning, I feel like the more I learn the more I grow and the smarter I am. On all of my MAP tests I am above grade average, that makes me feel accomplished and good about myself, now since I am higher than the grade average there are consequences. On MAP it is easier to go up when you are at a lower score, well if you have a higher score and you don’t know what the answers to stupid questions like 7x + 5x = ? It is harder to go up, once you are already above the grade level. After the MAP tests finished I felt accomplished for how good I did and I was SO glad that the tests were over and I can’t wait until the next MAP tests to see how much more I grow.

    I'm glad that even though you're not a fan of MAP testing, you are a fan of learning and doing your best. I love hearing that. I also love hearing how good it made you feel knowing you did good and tried your hardest. Thank you for sharing your post this week.

WWII Nonfiction Reader Response

    I am a Star  by Inge Auerbacher is about a young, Jewish girl and her struggle to survive the Holocaust. To begin, Inge talks about the how the discrimination began in her town of Kippenheim when, “Some people began to say that Jews belonged to a different race and that Jews were racially inferior” (10). From this belief, many thing changes for the Jews including who could buy from them, deprivation of their German citizenship, where they could go, and what occupations they could have. Christians were forbidden to associate with the Jews, while some had no problem with this, others disobeyed and left food and saved important items for after the war. What I am Thankful for

       There are SO many thing that I have been blessed with in life and I could not be happier, sometimes I wish I had more but there are people that have less, I am really picky with the food I eat and I try to always remind myself there are people in other places that are actually  starving. I can’t believe how blessed I have been and I cant thank my friends and family enough, I have been blessed with many MANY friends and LOTS! Of family. I have a lot of cousins and aunts and uncles, I have also been blessed with a roof over my head and a meal on the table every night, to think that some people are homeless and they don’t get any food, it makes me sad.
